Rich Ting

Rich Ting is a 4th-generation Asian American actor and Yale graduate with dual J.D./M.B.A. degrees. Known for roles in Warrior and The Man in the High Castle, Ting's career spans Hollywood blockbusters, Korean dramas, and voice-over work. In 2024, he stars in Tulsa King on Paramount+ and SEGA's Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Ting continues to thrive in acting, martial arts, and global travel.

Actor Rich Ting was born in Los Angeles, California and is a 4th generation Asian American.
Growing up as an athlete, Ting played collegiate football at Yale University while earning a
B.A, and then went on to achieve dual J.D./M.B.A. degrees. Soon after achieving his
scholastic goals, he realized that he needed to switch careers and pursue his passion for the
entertainment industry and, specifically, as an actor.

Ting has appeared on major hit shows: F.B.I., Magnum P.I., NCIS: Los Angeles, Supergirl,
Waco, Rush Hour, and Chicago P.D. He split his time between the U.S. and South Korea for
several years after being cast in lead roles on the Korean drama television series Iris as well
as in the feature films, No Tears For the Dead alongside Jang Dong-gun and Real with Kim
Soo-hyun . His determination and work ethic landed him roles in Hollywood blockbuster
films, such as Lone Survivor opposite Mark Wahlberg and on Salt alongside Angelina Jolie
as well as the spaghetti Western, No Name and Dynamite, where he plays the lead
character of ‘Dynamite Davenport’. Ting can also be seen performing stunts as a 1st degree
black belt in Tae Kwon Do in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, The Green Hornet, Gamer,
and Crank 2: High Voltage.

Ting is most well-known for playing the iconic character ‘Bolo’ in the HBO Max drama
series Warrior (2018), a television series inspired by the writings and work of Bruce Lee
and is unforgettable on Amazon’s Season 4 of the critically-acclaimed The Man in the High
Castle (2019) as ‘Captain Iijima’, a driven, ambitious young detective in the Japanese
Kempeitai.

In 2022, Ting has been seen on FX’s The Old Man opposite Jeff Bridges on the streaming
service Hulu as well as on Netflix’s Partner Track where he plays the character of ‘Carter
Min’, the General Counsel of Min Enterprises. In 2023, Ting has been seen on Apple’s Hello
Tomorrow as ‘Hikaru Makoto’, Disney Freeform’s AZNBBGRL as ‘Cody Lim’ and also served
as the Grand Marshal of the 2023 San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade and Festival.

In 2024, Ting stars on Paramount Plus’ Season 2 of Taylor Sheridan’s hit crime drama
series Tulsa King alongside Sylvester Stallone, where he plays the Chinese Triad druglord,
‘Jackie Ming’, a quiet but ruthless man with his own ambitions in the marijuana industry in
Tulsa. Ting also stars in SEGA’s Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the ninth mainline entry
of the Like a Dragon series, and a direct sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon and the spin-off
title Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. He plays ‘Wong Tou’, the
ruler of the Ganzhe syndicate, who is a powerful figure in Honolulu’s underworld. Despite
his gentlemanly exterior, Wong conceals the face of a ruthless gangster. An entrepreneur
with immense wealth, he is a formidable rival to Dwight Mendez’s Barracudas.

In 2025, Ting will be seen on Amazon Prime’s new half-hour drama On Call, from Wolf
Entertainment and Universal Television, which marks Wolf Entertainment’s first streaming
series and its 10th current scripted series overall. Ting will play ‘Sgt. Tyson Koyama’, the
team leader of the Long Beach P.D.’s drug enforcement team (DET). Additionally, Ting had his
animation debut as the lead character of ‘Habu Joji’ in Netflix’s recently acquired Japanese
animation feature, The Summit of the Gods. Some of his other voice over credits include
other Netflix projects, such as The 8 Show where he plays the lead character ‘Tae-seok 6F’;
We Couldn’t Become Adults as ‘Kenta Sekiguchi’; The 8th Night as ‘Detective Ho-tae Kim’;
All of Us are Dead as ‘Chief of Staff Seon-moo’; the Chinese fantasy thriller, Dynasty Warriors
as ‘Liu Bei’; the Korean drama series, My Name, as ‘Mu-Jin Choi’; Crazy Love as ‘Dae-seok Lee’;
Kiss Sixth Sense as ‘Cha Minhoo’; and ‘Headmaster Brata’ in the Thai drama series, Virgin.

Ting currently lives in Los Angeles, CA with his wife and two teacup Malteses, Somi and
Nori. In addition to working in film and television, he’s still active in the martial arts world,
loves to travel to exotic places, and is a true foodie at heart.
